Dry, itchy, or flaking scalp? It's time for some all natural scalp TLC! If you're experiencing this, it's always a good idea to up your water intake but it may not work as quickly as you hope. An all natural hair mask is a great way to instantly relieve the itch, dryness, and flaking and promote healthy, shiny, flake-free hair!

I recommend staying hydrating, using a scalp or hair mask at least 2-3 per week, eating more antioxidant-rich foods like berries and green vegetables and naturally anti-inflammatory foods like avocados and bananas, avoiding processed foods and sugars, and avoiding haircare products that contain chemicals.

To start, here's an easy, DIY, and all natural scalp treatment mask using Sky Organics Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil, and Peppermint Oil. Always patch test before using. These 100% pure ingredients have so many benefits and uses! I love that Sky Organics sources from highly reputable, all-natural organic artisanal farms, which practice and incorporate responsible work ethics and pesticide free environment.

Organic Jojoba Oil: This Jojoba Oil is 100% pure, cold-pressed, and USDA certified Organic. It's super lightweight, non-greasy, and works to hydrate your skin or hair to promote a clear complexion. It's great for all skin types, especially those with oily or combination skin. It helps to balance your skin's moisture levels and fight over production of sebum (which clogs pores and causes acne).

Jojoba Oil contains Vitamin E, which moisturizes your skin, provides protection, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles! It also contains Vitamin B, to boost skin cell health, fight bacteria, and protect against environmental aggressors.

It can be used as a body and face moisturizer, or for removing makeup and oil cleansing. Apply one pump of the oil to dry skin with makeup on. Massage the oil into your skin and remove with a warm, damp wash cloth. Wash with your favorite cleanser.

Organic Castor Oil: This Castor Oil is 100% pure, cold-pressed, USDA certified Organic, and ethically sourced from castor seeds from Kerala, India. Castor oil is anti-inflammatory and known to nourish and restore your scalp and hair.

It can be used on brows and lashes to help stimulate hair growth, condition, strengthen, and add fullness lashes and brows. Simply dip a mascara brush in the mixture and apply! You can mix it with jojoba oil or olive oil if the mixture is too thick.

Peppermint Essential Oil: This 100% pure, USDA certified Organic essential oil is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial and has a variety of benefits. It helps promote wellness, energy, easier breathing, and enhances focus. It has a minty, cool, and fresh scent with calming aromatherapeutic properties. It's great for all skin types, especially those with oily or combination skin.

To use topically, you can dilute it with your preferred carrier oil. It can also be gently inhaled to combat stress, the common cold, congestion or a cough or you can also add 5 drops to an essential oil diffuser. Its stimulating properties help invigorate hair follicles and promote hair growth when diluted with a carrier oil such as castor oil.
