A Deep Conditioning Hair Mask For Frizzy, Damaged Hair (Video Tutorial)

I'm always looking for new products and remedies to help combat my frizzy hair, especially during these hot summer days. I recently had the opportunity to test out Nutree Professional's Brazilian Bottox Expert Thermal Mask, a deep conditioning treatment mask that promotes smooth, frizz free, soft, nourished, and shiny hair for up to eight weeks.

I was a little hesitant about trying this because I've never tried any at-home treatment products, especially ones that are technically for professional use only! But I did want to try something that would really work to calm my frizzy hair for a few weeks.

Review 〰 My very first impression was that the shipping packaging and product packaging were not great. When I first opened the product it wasn't sealed, which made me feel nervous about using it but after reading a ton of other reviews it seemed to be a common issue for everyone. I do like the cute, hot pink container and that it came with detailed instructions and gloves.

It was really easy to use but definitely different and more time consuming than an everyday hair mask that you might be more familiar with. My video tutorial below will give you an idea of what the process is like. The texture itself is creamy and applies easily to the hair. My only complaint during the application process was that the scent was a bit overwhelming and slightly irritated my eyes, even when using in a well ventilated area. I had to step away and fan the room out a few times...

I do love that it is cruelty-free and made using natural ingredients like marine collagen, glutamic acid, and almond oil. Their product listing says that it contains only safe ingredients and they have a safety data sheet available on their website, but it does not elaborate on the individual ingredients. Their website says that it is not recommended for pregnant women (or children), which raises some concerns for me considering the product is marketed as safe. After learning more about the ingredients in this product and trying it, I decided I would only be testing it out this one time. It did leave my hair extremely soft, shiny, and frizz-free and the results lasted about three weeks for me, with washing every one to two days. I would have loved if it lasted longer!

Step 4: Put on your gloves

Step 5: Apply & leave it on for 30 minutes
