Tired of breakouts? Me too! That’s why I am excited to share with you my full review of Tula Skincare’s acne fighting kit that I’ve been using daily since the middle of February. Spoiler - the results have been impressive!

While I wouldn’t say I suffer from severe breakouts, I do suffer from bouts of really congested, clogged pores. You know, those pesky skin colored bumps that just don’t like to go away!? Here's a photo. Sometimes you can see them, sometimes you can’t… They are frustrating!

I have tried several different products and have had great results with certain ingredients but the results always seemed to be very temporary. My skin would be clear in the morning but would appear more bumpy as the day went on.
After tons of research I concluded that salicylic acid appeared to be the most effective solution for most people with my problem and all that was left to do was try it! I never really gave salicylic acid a fair shot. I never had the best experiences using salicylic acid products in the past so I entirely avoided them.
When I saw the opportunity to try this acne-fighting trio, I took time to learn more about Tula and look up the ingredients. I expressed my interest after having a “love at a first sight” feeling about Tula and they kindly gifted me this set in exchange for my honest review. Psst... there's before and after photos at the end!
I love that their focus is on great quality products with clean ingredients. I was happy to learn their products are free of parabens, phthalates, fragrance, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil, toxins, dyes, and irritants. It’s also a huge plus for me that they are 100% cruelty-free!

My Experience and Results
It’s been a full three weeks since I started using this line and I am very happy with the results. I noticed a difference in my skin after the first few uses. My skin appeared more clear and smooth but with more use I found the cleanser to be a little drying, even when it's alcohol free. After all, it is designed for more oily/combination skin types and my skin type is more normal/ dry/sensitive. Thankfully I did not experience any flaking or irritation. To combat the dryness, which has actually helped to dry out some active pimples, I’ve been making sure to use a very hydrating moisturizer every morning and night. I’ve also been using hydrating sleeping masks and sheet masks to keep my skin hydrated.

When this line arrived I immediately switched to the foam cleanser. I really like the consistency and feeling of foam cleansers. The second day I tried the gel and loved the results I saw the next day! The gel did not irritate my skin. When a pimple start forming I used the spot the treatment. I found myself using it more at night and forgetting to use it during the day.
I was really hesitant about using salicylic acid but after using this line my thoughts on salicylic acid have changed. I feel comfortable using these products and trust the ingredients list. I do feel that the salicylic acid has worked to really loosen and break apart the clogged layers of my skin. It’s helped to gentle exfoliate and unclog my pores without any irritation. If you are pregnant or nursing, consult with your doctor prior to using.
If you're looking for products to help unclog your congested skin, and treat and prevent acne, definitely check out the Goodbye Breakouts Acne Routine Kit which is available for $68.00 on Tula's website here.
