My #OleGlow Experience: Three Steps To Smooth, Bright, Glowing Skin!

I recently tried a few products from Ole Henriksen, thanks to influenster and wanted to share my feedback on them! I love trying new new things but when it comes to skincare, I get a bit nervous because I have sensitive skin. After learning more about Ole Henriksen and their products, I decided to give it a shot and I am super glad I did! I was lucky enough to try three different products: The Power Bright 3-Step System, The Sheer Transformation Moisturizer, and the Truth Serum Collagen Booster. Let’s dig in!

THE 3-STEP POWER BRIGHT SYSTEM

So what is this system? It is a "professional-strength three-step brightening system with an unprecedented 25 percent vitamin C concentrate to deliver maximum radiance in as little as one use," according to the website. What excited me the most is that this system is targeted to be a solution for dullness, uneven skin tone, and fine-lines and wrinkles, all of which I have but I was more so hoping for this to help with the dullness! It certainly did! This system helps to brighten while targeting visible signs of aging.

This system consists of the Moment of Truth 2-in-1 Polishing Sugar Mask, formulated with with sugar, honey, and pomegranate seed powder to help polish away dead, dull skin, the truth 25% vitamin C concentrate, formulated with a stabilized form of ascorbic acid to brighten, and and the uncover the truth 3-in-1 melting cleanser, formulated with rosehip fruit, cherry seed, and sweet almond oils to help activate the system and leave skin feeling super soft. All three products work together to awaken and nourish a dull complexion. This system is great for all skin types!

I really liked how soft and smooth this regime left my skin. The only con for me is that this seemed more involved than my current regime and I couldn't picture myself doing this daily. The 3-in-1 melting cleanser surprised me and did work well. My concern was the roseship - I don't do too well with rose-anything!

According to the website, in an independent consumer study on 40 women, after 8 weeks:

THE SHEER TRANSFORMATION MOISTURIZER

The sheer transformation perfecting moisturizer works to hydrate, even skin tone, and smooth your skin texture. It also claims to help improve the look of dark spots and discoloration. I loved how light-weight this product felt on my skin and the subtle dewy look it left. This moisturizer has a whipped, creamy texture and is known for it’s oil-free silky hydration. It’s formulated with multi-fruit acids, licorice and pea extracts to help gently refine uneven skin tone and texture. This moisturizer did work very well under makeup for a nice, flawless foundation application. It’s great for all ages and all skin types and can be used day or night.

In a consumer study on 35 women, after 12 weeks:

97% of users agree this product moisturizes skin.
97% of users agree this product absorbs quickly & effortlessly.
94% of users agree this product nourishes skin.
91% of users agree this product softens skin.
91% of users agree this product feels ultralight & weightless on skin.

THE TRUTH SERUM COLLAGEN BOOSTER

Formulated with vitamin c and collagen, the truth serum collagen booster is meant to brighten, firm, even skin tone, smooth the skin texture, and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The product is their #1 bestselling anti-aging serum. It helped to brighten and firm my skin while leaving it hydrated. Unfortunately, I had to stop using this product after a week because it was making me break out.

In an independent consumer study on 36 women after 1 week:

97% agreed this product creates more youthful-looking skin.
97% agreed this product brightens skin.
97% agreed this product firms skin.
97% agreed this product retexturizes skin.
97% agreed this product restores skin radiance.
94% agreed this product smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 94% agreed this product renews skin’s appearance.

All-in-all, I loved trying out these products but I am still not sure if I will be returning customer. I had higher expectations for the truth serum, which it what I was really hoping would work for me as it seems like something I need right now, but I couldn't deal with the break outs. I would consider repurchasing the 3-step power bright system to use once a week or twice a month as detox scrub.
