Bare Minerals Mineralist Vegan Lipstick Review

I have been a fan of Bare Minerals products for years and have always loved their lipsticks! I remember trying out a ton of them around the time of my wedding. They always offered a nice variety in colors and I always trusted Bare Minerals products when it came to ingredients and quality. That's why I was very excited to try out their new Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Hydrating Vegan Lipstick and it does not disappoint!

My first impression when I applied it was that it had a nice scent. I couldn’t put my finger on what it smelled like so I looked it up and it has a natural prickly pear and acai scent. It smells so good!

The color I received is called Grace and it’s a beautiful earthy nude and almost pale pink shade that’s right up my alley! The pigment is amazing and the texture is creamy. I love that it contains olive oil to naturally intensify the color. It applies easily, feels lightweight and smooth on my lips, and stays on very well. I tested it before eating and drinking and it stayed on better than I expected.

Mineralist Vegan Lipstick, $20

This lipstick promises 2x hydration and 2x richer color and I would have to agree! Compared to previous Bare Minerals lipsticks I've tried, this one is definitely the most pigmented and hydrating. This lipstick also claims to significantly reduce visible lip lines, texture and dryness in just 1 week, even when removed. My lips do feel less chapped and dry but I also frequently use lip balm so it's hard to tell if it's the lipstick or the balm! I do feel like this lipstick slightly blurs lip lines while wearing.

One of my favorite parts is that this lipstick is vegan and contains only 19 ingredients and 76% are naturally derived extracts, including sustainably sourced botanicals from around the world. It also contains:

I love that Bare Minerals products are always free of parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, synthetic fragrance, triclosan, triclocarbbon, propylene glycol, coal tar, PEG’s, chemical sunscreen, and mineral oil - and that they are cruelty-free!

This mineralist lipstick is available in 25 gorgeous shades and each shade is inspired by the healing powers of natural minerals, crystals and gemstones, and features a subtle, uplifting natural scent of Prickly Pear and Açaí.
